The Katowice Book Fair – the Science Encounters
A new feature of this year’s Katowice Book Fair will be the Science Encounters event block and exhibition sector. Academic publishers will be exhibiting here, including: the Leon Schiller National Film, Television and Theatre School; Czestochowa University of Technology, Warsaw University of Technology, Silesian University, University of Siedlce, ŚLĄSK Scientific Publishing House, Jan of Paradyż Academy in Gorzów Wlkp., Oficyna Naukowa, and Eperons Ostrogi Publishing House. At the booths, vivitors will be able to buy publications from scientific publishers. Additionally, the Science Forum, located next to the publishers’ sector, will host discussions promoting various fields of knowledge over three days. Distinguished experts and enthusiasts will participate in these sessions, covering subjects such as mathematics, nuclear physics, medical physics, history, literary studies, biology, environmental protection, and mindfulness training.
As part of the Science Encounters, another edition of the conference “Poland-Russia-Germany: From the 18th to the 21st Century” will take place, titled “Germany, Russia – New International Order After the War in Ukraine.” The conference will feature lectures on topics such as: “Will Russia Remain a World Power?”, “Will Germany be a Hegemon in Central and Eastern Europe After the War?”, “Germany in Global Games with Russia, China, and the USA After the War,” and “The War in Ukraine and Poland’s International Position”.
